Live Coverage || Stray From the Path @ Zappa, 12/12/2019

Part one of the two-episode series reporting on Stray From The Path's European tour. 

The American hardcore powerhouse performed in Antwerp on December 12th along with The Devil Wears Prada, Gideon and Loathe.

The night opened with Loathe. If I'm being honest, they weren't at the top of their game; the crowd wasn't receptive and the band themselves had bad sound and the clean vocals almost sounded fake at times. Gideon was up next. The boys cut straight to the chase with "Cursed. The crowd's reaction was immediate and it gave the tone for the rest of the set. True to their habit, they built their set with power and energy.
The Devil Wears Prada followed. Their setlist blended material from their entire catalog in a perfect mix. They performed a top-notch show with excellent sound. Stray From The Path headlined the evening and, as usual, they stormed the stage with incendiary energy. Much like TDWP, they performed both new and older songs. I really enjoyed the set, and it's safe to say the audience did too. It is also worth mentioning that the band also filmed material for a live video that night, can't wait to see the results!
