Live Coverage || August Burns Red @ Columbia Theater, 21/11/2019

August Burns Red played at Columbia Theater in Berlin on November 21st. Almost exactly the same day as last year, same venue as well, just different support bands. This time they brought Currents and Erra from the US.

I'm personally a big Currents fan so I was super stoked to see them play again. Last time I saw them was at Never Say Die tour 2018, so it's been a year. The show started about 10 to 15 minutes early so not everyone was in the venue yet but it got fuller pretty quickly. Once again, I was blown away by how good Brian Wille's vocals are, this guy is just insanely talented.
Next up were Erra. They were one of the first bands I ever shot in 2017 when they were on tour with Northlane, so this felt a little nostalgic. Their newest record is actually my favorite on by them, so it was interesting to hear them play songs I never heard live before. JT Cavey is also an amazing vocalist and I loved watching Sean Price play the guitar.
Then, finally August Burns Red entered the stage. Since this is their Constellation's tour, they played the album front to back while adding diversity to the setlist with "Ghosts", "Invisible Enemy", "Empire" and "Composure". My personal favorite song of the night was "White Washed". Such a powerful song! I really enjoyed the show and the crowd a lot. Everyone was super hyped and it felt like the whole room was moshing. These kinds of shows are my favorite. Can't wait for the next time!
