Athens-based progressive metalcore band makes bold entrance with emotional, atmospheric debut.
Rising progressive metalcore band NONLINEAR has officially released their debut EP ''The Longing Light'', now available on all major streaming platforms.
Fusing crushing djent riffs, ambient textures, and emotionally raw lyricism, ''The Longing Light'' explores themes of nostalgia, inner chaos, addiction (including to social media), and healing. The EP reflects a journey through personal struggle and growth, delivered with technical precision and heartfelt intensity.
“We poured everything into this—from writing and recording to artwork and final mix. The Longing Light is the sound of five friends making something honest and cathartic together,” says vocalist George Plaskasovitis.
NONLINEAR formed in 2023 and consists of:

Alex Louropoulos – Guitar
Nick Koudounas – Bass
Chris Papakonstantinou – Drums
The EP includes a guest feature from Vrodex, and was mixed/mastered by Gareth Hargreaves, with artwork by Eirini Grammenou.
