The Ghost Inside debut new single, "Death Grip"

Fresh back from a US tour with Underoath, metalcore giants The Ghost Inside have released a powerful new single and accompanying music video, "Death Grip."

With heavy riffs and merciless drum patterns, accompanied by haunting industrial sounds, "Death Grip" offers captivating, emotionally charged lyrics in which singer Jonathan Vigil grapples with his own mortality and emerges victorious.

He explains: "Death Grip is a song about survival and defying fate and creating your own destiny. When the going gets tough, believe in yourself. You don't need a lifeline when you have a Death Grip. “

With the new single, The Ghost Inside deliver a metalcore anthem that combines melodic hooks and heavy guitar riffs with emotional lyrics. The band, known for their powerful live performances, announced their headlining tour through the USA in parallel with this single release. It's another sonic taste of what's to come. The band is currently putting the finishing touches to their new album. The follow-up to 2020's The Ghost Inside, the Kerrang! Described as "Rock's Most Miraculous Comeback Album", it is likely to be another highlight of her career.

The Ghost Inside formed in El Segundo, California in 2008 to live out their shared passion for bands from the hardcore scene. The band has since released five studio albums: Fury and the Fallen Ones (2008), Returners (2010), Get What You Give (2012), Dear Youth (2014) and The Ghost Inside (2020). The group stands for authenticity, dedication, perseverance and literally sticking to the core values of their craft. Sonically, they place equal emphasis on deeply personal vocals, haunting riffing and driving breakdowns as part of their strongly melodic modern hardcore.

Their 2020 self-titled album represents determination, reflection and newfound hope after the tragic 2015 bus accident that changed the band's lives forever and claimed the lives of the driver and all occupants of the other vehicle. Ultimately, they saw the incident as a moment to put their inspirational writing to the test. Songs that were originally more philosophical became autobiographical. The accident will always be a defining moment for The Ghost Inside, but never what defines it.

The Ghost Inside are hosting their 2nd annual "ReBirthday Bash" to celebrate their second chance at a new life after the bus accident that changed their lives forever. The band has also invited friends Drain, Gideon, Texas In July and No Bragging Rights to the event, which takes place on November 18th at SOMA in San Diego.

The Ghost Inside consists of Jonathan Vigil (vocals), Chris Davis (guitar), Zach Johnson (guitar), Jim Riley (bass), and Andrew Tkaczyk (drums).
