Singer Tom Weaver explains: "Puncture Wounds to Heaven" is about the theme of apathy and the guilt that can result from it. The feeling of "gasping for air" when you briefly emerge from a depressive episode and notice how life is unfolding around you "That's a core theme that runs through the whole album, and musically the dichotomy between the gentle verses and the chaotic middle really made that very clear to us."

The new single is the first taste of the band's third album, and Tom says:

"It's the most vocally (and musically) ambitious thing we've ever done, but still feels quintessentially Casey."

The new single follows the quintet's fan-acclaimed return in Spring 2023, including seven major shows in the UK and Germany, and the limited release of their 7'' Atone/Great Grief (Hassle Records).

Casey will also be on October 15th. supporting Funeral For A Friend with Dashboard Confessional at London's Roundhouse.

At its core, Casey was based on the idea that music is a work of love. With no expectation of success, no desire to become famous, just a shared longing to make music - and when that was no longer true, Casey stayed true to himself and resigned.

When Casey announced they were breaking up the band at the end of 2018, it felt like a premature end. With their first two LPs - 2016's Love Is Not Enough and 2018's Where I Go When I Am Sleeping - the Welsh five-piece had firmly established themselves as one of the most exciting bands in the UK alternative scene.

Now, years later, the band is back - bigger and better than ever. Casey don't just reproduce the feelings that inspire them - they embody them.
