On May 8th 2022 I got to attend my first big/foreign post-pandemic show in my hometown. Canadian street punk heroes Bishops Green finally found themselves in Athens, Greece. The quartet is on the road to promote the impending release of their new album, "Black Skies". Support was provided by local noisemakers, The Titz.
It had been 5 years since my last encounter with the Canadians and after the initial postponement of the show due to Covid, my anticipation had only grown bigger. Bishops Green was exactly as I remembered them on stage; rowdy, fast and expressive. The show amassed a bigger attendance than I expected, which was very nice for a change and both the band and kids at the front, who would gather around Greg Huff's mic at any given chance, appeared to be having an excellent time.
