Headbangers Parade is the newest festival addition to the Dutch rock and metal culture. And the festival comes not a moment too soon. Partly due to the impact of Covid, the already scarce offer of serious rock and metal festivals in our country has become considerably thinner in recent years. So it's high time for some new blood!
The brand new one-day festival will take place for the first time on 21 May 2022 in Klokgebouw in Eindhoven. With a big nod to the nineties program 'Headbangers Ball', Headbangers Parade does not only bring hits from the same nineties. With a contemporary program, room for new sounds, but also for established names, the festival strengthens the foundation of the rock and metal scene in our country.

That Headbangers Parade programs modern becomes immediately clear when the first headliner is presented; ARCHITECTS. After a sold-out performance in 013 (2018) and a show in Afas (2019), these metalcore legends from Brighton, England are coming to Eindhoven for an exclusive Benelux show. But it's not just the headliner that shows an innovative program. The other bands from the first announcement also underline the modern line of the festival. Striking and strongly emerging bands such as Ghøstkid are given the space to present themselves in front of a large audience. The third name that provides dynamics in the line-up is Tesseract, a renowned name within the progressive metal scene. Finally, the Belgian Stake will provide a good portion of sludge metal and post-rock.
A nicely varied list of names with which Headbangers Parade immediately sets the tone as a versatile metal festival. In total, the festival expects to be able to present 10 bands. The other bands will be released in the coming months. If these follow the established trend, we can look forward to an extremely interesting and successful first edition of the festival.
Headbangers Parade will take place on Saturday May 21, 2022. Tickets are available from December 22 at ticketmaster.nl from 59 euros.
