Aaron Mats, vocalist of french metalcore band Betraying The Martyrs, has annoucned his departure from the band on his and the band's social media. According to Mats, he's stepping down from the role of lead vocalist after ten years to take back control over his artistic endeavors, "to do what’s right for [me] in order for [me] to remain healthy and happy; and above all, to remain true to [myself], to who [I am] as a person, a musician, and to what really moves [me] artistically".

In the past year, Mats has created a supergroup, consisting of members of Novelists FR, Kadinja, Uneven Structure and more, called "ten56", who will be releasing new music next week. He also mentioned that BTM has been working on new music and that they have already found the person to replace him, "a very talented, and deserving individual who will not disappoint", but their identity shall remain hidden for the time being.

His announcement follows; the band hasn't issued a statement yet.
