Body Count has won their first GRAMMY for "Best Metal Performance". The act was nominated for the song for "Bum-Rush", off of 2020's "Carnivore".

Body Count found themselves fighting in the category against Power Trip ("Executioner’s Tax (Swing of the Axe) Live"), Code Orange ("Underneath"), In This Moment ("The In-Between") and Poppy ("Bloodmoney").

Ice T, who accepted the award on the band's behalf, thanked all the members of Body Count, current and past, their label Century Media and producer Will Putney among others.

The 63rd GRAMMY ceremony, hosted by Trevor Noah and broadcasted on CBS, takes place tonight (March 14) after being postponed for COVID-related concerns. Artists are performing at empty venues without audience.
