Hollywood Undead, the platinum-honored quintet from Los Angeles, recently released the song "Idol" with a guest feature from legendary rapper Tech N9ne via BMG / Dove & Grenade. They continue to push the limits of their ingenuity and effortlessly mix heavy riffs, huge hooks, dubstep-tinged industrial bombast and passionate lyrical dexterity into a hard-hitting sound texture that is unique and undeniably their own with "Idol". Now the band presents the associated video clip.

"Idol" is the first track from the upcoming second part of Hollywood Undead's two-part opus "New Empire", produced by Matt Good (Asking Alexandria, Sleeping With Sirens). The first part, "New Empire Vol. 1", was released in February of this year and brought the hits "Already Dead", "Time Bomb", "Heart Of A Champion" and "Nightmare" to the fore. Consequence Of Sound wrote, “With New Empire Vol. 1, the band finds the band in a much heavier frame than usual,” Inc. Magazine says, “Fifteen years into it and in an industry where careers are often measured in months, Hollywood Undead is releasing a new killer album, "and Billboard commented," Hollywood Undead is showing no sign of slowing down. You were on a mammoth European tour with Papa Roach and Ice Nine Kills to present Vol. 1 live, but then the COVID 19 pandemic struck.

Founded in 2005, Hollywood Undead moved under the radar with unprecedented success towards mainstream dominance, defying stylistic boundaries from day one. The groundbreaking debut "Swan Songs" from 2008 combined rap, rock and electronic and went platinum. In 2011 the gold-winning album "American Tragedy" was released and stormed to number 4 on the Billboard Top 200. "Notes From The Underground" reached number 2 in 2013. "Day Of The Dead" [2015] and "Five" [2017] brought them the band's streaming balance of over 1 billion and "New Empire Vol 1" pushed total streams across all audio and video platforms to 2 billion. Hollywood Undead played sold-out tours on four continents and received top reviews from Rolling Stone, Billboard, Consequence of Sound, Alternative Press, Revolver and many others.
