Live Coverage || Bury Tomorrow, Employed To Serve, Blood Youth @ AB, 11/12/2019

British metalcore powerhouse Bury Tomorrow performed at the sold out Ancienne Belgique in Brussels on December 12th 2019. Support was provided by Employed To Serve and Blood Youth.

Quick disclaimer before we begin: I sort of lost touch with Bury Tomorrow circa 2012 and I hadn't followed closely their releases since, other than songs here and there. I had seen the band perform at Jera On Air last year and they still didn't fully grow on me. An intimate show with 280 people, however, was a completely different story.
Bury Tomorrow had come to destroy AB and take no prisoners. The atmosphere in the venue was electric throughout their set and people wouldn't stop singing along until the final songs. I rarely see a show with such energy! I was completely immersed to the feeling, to the point where I disposed of my camera to crowd surf at the end of the show. The band members were very open to the fans, smiling consistently and exclaiming how happy they were to be back to Belgium, thanking fans for coming out. It's brilliant to see a band with such positive attitude. This performance sold me to Bury Tomorrow and I still don't know why I didn't listen to their music before. I have a lot of catching up to do!
Employed To Serve and Blood Youth opened the show. I wasn't familiar with the former, so they were a nice surprise. I hadn't seen Blood Youth in a minute and I was happy to see them grow and receive such a warm response to their latest album, "Starve".
One of the best shows to end the year, for sure.
