Cult Leader streams new single

Equipped with both sonic and emotional brutality, Cult Leader have never been known to pull punches. With the imminent release of their sophomore LP, "A Patient Man", on the horizon, the Salt Lake City exports are charging out out the gate with a third and final single, titled “Isolation In The Land Of Milk And Honey.” The track, which premiered on Consequence Of Sound, is available below.

“'Isolation In The Land Of Milk And Honey' is about mental self-cannibalism,” Cult Leader vocalist Anthony Lucero simply states. With a track as captivating and unrelenting as this, no further explanation is needed. Embodying the stylistic evolution Cult Leader has undergone since their 2015 debut, “Isolation In The Land Of Milk And Honey” adds complexity to Lucero’s hardcore attacks with curtailing guitars, barbed drum fills, and an intrepid sonic spectrum.

Cult Leader will release their second album, "A Patient Man", via Deathwish Inc. this Friday (pre-order here). Recorded and engineered by Kurt Ballou at God City Studios (Converge, Nails, High On Fire), the album intertwines death rock conventions with metallic riffing and gnashing percussion. While the band’s technical proficiency is a triumph in itself, it’s Cult Leader’s inarguable dynamism that is truly impressive. Along with tried-and-true claustrophobic dirges, the album also contains four beautifully brooding epics, each one typifying a maturation and sense of melody with which few “extreme” bands would dare dabble.
