Live Coverage || Dimmu Borgir, Panzerfaust @ Danforth Music Hall, 23/8/2018

It's been eight years since Norway's symphonic metal pioneers, Dimmu Borgir, have played Toronto. The band is currently on tour supporting their tenth studio album, 2018's "Aeonian".

The face paint, band shirts spanning two decades and the buzz in the room, the long awaited return is finally here. Lights go dark and the roar at Danforth Music Hall is deafening. Blood red stage and a heavy must of fog accompanies the black metal legends. Expanding over 60', the 12-song set started off with "The Unveiling", the first track off of "Aeonian". Heads were banging and chants were at full force; the perfect mix of classic and new material had the fans, old and new, singing along all night. This show was definitely worth the wait.
