Being As An Ocean go independent, announce upcoming release plans

It was rumored for quite some time that there was turbulence between Being As An Ocean and their former record label, Equal Vision records. The band fueled this rumor by tweeting, shortly before the scheduled release of their new album, that "[fans should] dirct all tweets about release date to Equal Vision [who] have the finished album".


Two months went by with BAAO tweeting lyrics until earlier this week, guitarist Tyler William Ross started giving insight. According to his tweets, the band now owns the rights to the forthcoming album, stating that the rules are changing.
Today, the band account posted the tweet below asserting that they bought out their contract and that they were as of recently an independent band, confirming Ross' tweet, and announced new material to be released soon.
